The tantrum is coming. Let it go, little Dickie. You know you want to.

So basically . . . he's Trump. He's not the first - and won't be the last - to show up here with the express stated purpose of "Speaking truths!" based on message-board arguments from a decade ago. It's better to let him have his fun in a vacuum (he's on my ignore list again), but it's also human nature to want to argue Constantly and Repeatedly. YF is the message board equivalent of President Trump. He has no shame or integrity. He would rather break things down into chaos than have an honest discussion. He is driven by a hatred of education and people who dare to disagree with him. I will say that he is better at hiding his misogynistic tendencies than President Trump. I don't think he's a misogynist, but I'm not going to take on the Double Down role of gauging who is and isn't. However, I will say that some of the recent discussions have me wondering. The hatred of education is usually a red flag of deeply rooted anger toward a certain gender.

I wouldn't get too charged up about this thread. It's just some Silly on a Friday stuff, a grand SJ tradition.
Moddy will have it cleaned up for the morning crew.

The tantrum is coming. Let it go, little Dickie. You know you want to. That is a good representation of your true self. You are stuck. You can't lash out because it proves me right. It's driving you crazy that you can't. I love it. I'm laughing at you. Really and truly, I thank you for this.

I was educated by the Irish Christian Brothers and the Jesuits. Had far more male teachers, even among the lay members of the faculty. Didn't have a male homeroom teacher after the third grade. Remember almost all of them fondly, though Father Brennan was an ass. I seriously considered becoming a teacher, and enrolled in the School of Education at the college of my choice, because I was so inspired by some of my better teachers.

I can believe the part about Christian education from a guy who clearly hates public education. Your posts, however, show nothing but disdain for teachers. That's one other thing I left out earlier. You are the kind of person who actively roots for people to lose their jobs or have some other form of misfortune in their careers. I commend you for having better self control than Dickie in spite of all the bitterness you clearly carry with you.

The ones around here are refuges from the really awful schools -- the ones YF would oppose if he had any idea what he was talking about. I'm not sure I agree with a hiring process that goes through a diocese, but I guess the religious mission has to be protected.

Some of them are fantastic. Some are awful. I'm just pointing out that such a background fits well into YankeeFan's disdain for public education.
