They'd . . . won the previous two with the same "woke" players. There were I believe 14 new players on this year's team, and many of the holdovers were in reduced roles because of age.

If one player was mean to Trump, they ALL were.
They must be destroyed by any means necessary.

How dare they stand by a group of Americans who didn't win! LOL. What? It wasn't an incredible run. They were the favorites, and they lost in the round of 16. That's a fucking disaster. Sure, you can "stand by them" (whatever that means) and continue to root for them, but they don't deserve a WH invite any more than the LSU Iowa Women's Basketball Team did, which is what I was referencing. They didn't get a White House invitation. They got a Tweet. I got your reference. No, the Iowa women's basketball team didn't deserve an invite, either. Your desperation to attack literally anything President Biden says or does is truly comical.

I believe "incredible run" was referring to a decade or more, since it's likely Madam Woke won't be the only veteran missing from future World Cup teams.

I don't know if anyone else watched the big game on Sunday morning - it was definitely appointment viewing for me.
Is it unusual to have the goal tender be one of the people who take a penalty kick during overtime? This seemed unusual to me when the United States did so. And I'm also concerned that it may have interfered with her focus and energy to perform her primary job, and really cost the U.S. in the end.
I also probably would not have had Rapinoe take one of the penalty shots. It kind of reminded me of Tony LaRussa batting utility guys third because "he's earned it" by being a good egg, essentially.

Sport needs more fights and hair pulling.
Far better than flops.

My assumption would be that spoke to a lack of quality scorers on the team. The keeper is probably perfectly fine at it, and the old head isn’t ideal. But when you’ve got a set of utility players behind them, you go with who you go with.

Also, sometimes people not involved with sports just say nice things about Teams USA. Because they think saying something nice/respectful is better than not.

So if you go to as many as 11 PKs, the goalie has to shoot. Obviously this one didn't go that far, so I'm guessing it was a "She's as good at it as any of the other options" decision.
