Good for you, Whitman. Go reinvent. We'll all see you back here, likely within the week, under whatever new name you end up choosing. I would say I won the pool, but every single person here saw this coming. This place is his crystal meth. There are worse things, I suppose. My friends want me to participate here. I like to participate here. Whether me participating here gives a mean-spirited shithead like you a platform to declare victory is insignificant to me.

Not taking sides on this one, but as someone who apparently has a barely coherent Muppet stalker, I can understand your reaction.

Oh for fuck's sake. I stopped reading as soon as a saw their proposed plan: Our proposal: As of the 2026 World Cup, to be played in North America, there would be just one World Cup, a 32-nation tournament with every qualifying and tournament match a double-header featuring the women’s and men’s teams of the competing nations. The aggregate score from the back-to-back games would prevail, and the gender order of play would alternate every four years (the second game going to a tie-breaker if necessary).
Oh yeah, that's realistic.

I asked my 6-year-old daughter last night if she'd like to try to play soccer next year and, with God as my witness, she answered:
"I don't like soccer. All you do is kick a ball."

Why not a co-ed World Cup?
Make every team put four or five women on the field.

Why not a co-ed World Cup? Make every team put four or five women on the field. There was a professional volleyball league in the 1970s that was coed. Wilt Chamberlain was the commissioner. Least surprising second sentence in message board history.

Need to send you a bill for the headaches I've gotten from rolling my eyes so hard reading your posts in this thread. I've got to tighten up the language knowing she's lurking.

The men’s kick the ball tournament should be a lot of fun.

The men’s kick the ball tournament should be a lot of fun. I’m going to need a ruling from Dick on whether or not those who didn’t finish can call themselves “runners.”

The men’s kick the ball tournament should be a lot of fun. It will be from Nov. 21 - Dec. 18. Just the workers getting everything ready will be among the dead.

The men’s kick the ball tournament should be a lot of fun. I’m going to need a ruling from Dick on whether or not those who didn’t finish can call themselves “runners.” Depends on the pace they set before dropping out due to the heat. If they were going at least at a jogging pace then, YES, they are runners who just happened not to finish this race …for understandable reasons. But if they were at an 18 minute per mile pace, like our star of the "trier" thread, then, NO, you are just a walker (and not even a brisk one at that).
