Looks like Thailand needs to convert more of its college cornerbacks and point guards into women's soccer players.

Thailand is the No. 34 team in the world according to the FIFA rankings. The US is No. 1.
It's kind of amazing there's still THAT huge of a chasm between 1 and 34.

Six goals in the last 15 minutes is completely excessive. Any youth coach who did that would be castigated. I know these are grown women, but it's classless.

Couldn't they have just performed Harlem Globetrotter-like routines over the last few minutes instead of scoring a bunch of goals? Would love to see them get shut out in the next game.  |

If yes, you can't blame them. I assume it is -- it is in the men's tournament, right? In the link I posted, much of the criticism was more about the way the players celebrated than the goals themselves. |

And the worst part is that now Sweden pretty much has to try to beat the brakes off of Thailand now, too. |
