Monday. Monday. Not Tuesday. Monday. Ah fuck. Change Monday/Tuesday in all my posts to Sunday/Monday. Anyway, Veteran’s Day was Sunday. He was at a Military Cemetery in France on Sunday, Veteran’s Day. The main ceremony at Arlington, referenced in the tweet NC posted was on Sunday. Trump did not skip or cancel any of events on Monday.

Curiosity got the better of me, so I looked up when the deal went down on recent Veterans-Day-on-Sundays ... In 2012, the last time it was on Sunday, President Obama appeared/spoke at Arlington on the Sunday. In 2007, V.P. Cheney did likewise (on Sunday). President Bush appeared/spoke that Sunday at a memorial for fallen soldiers in Waco, TX.
So while this doesn't necessarily resolve the @ltl - YankeeFan impasse -- and I certainly hope that can be navigated without any moderators stepping in -- it does seem that formal recognition tends to occur on the day proper, even if the banks and the post office do their thing on Monday.

And Pence didn't go Sunday either. So the White House was essentially unrepresented at Veterans Day events in America.

By the way, in my exhaustive research into previous Veterans Day remembrances, I came across a little Excel trick to get the day of the week for a given date.
First, you use the =DATE function (e.g., "=DATE(2017,11,11)" ) in a given cell (let's say cell A1).
Then, in another cell you enter this ... =TEXT(A1,"dddd") ... and Excel will spit out the day of the week value for the date contained in cell A1.
Now I know I was born on a Tuesday.

I’m not sure it’s plainly protected speech, given the school setting, although the question isn’t free from doubt. It’s plainly protected from prosecution by the police, who need to butt the fuck out. Do we even know what the photo is of? What if it’s a photo of a crime occurring?

Do we even know what the photo is of? It's not a lead-pipe cinch to me. I assume it's of them doing some ersatz "Heil!" bit, but it could just as easily be a couple of them doing it during some group wave. I mean, if during their A Midsummer Night's Dream curtain call the camera had caught TFDQ and her castmates just right, you could probably make a credible enough case for the World of Outrage that they were going all Nazi.

Photographer who took Wisconsin teens' apparent Nazi salute photo says it was innocentBut one of the teens in the image, Jordan Blue, who can be seen in the upper right corner of the photo not participating in the salute, contradicted Gust's account. Blue told the publication that Gust instructed the group of mostly white men to pose that way.
“I felt upset, unsafe, disappointed and scared," Blue said. "I felt unsafe because I go to school with them, I don’t believe in what they represented and the symbol they shared … they knew it was wrong, but they still did it.”Also, in a now-deleted tweet, one of the dumbshits said "We even got the black kid to throw it up."

Guy sounds sincere: Gust replaced the photo album with a statement that reads, in part, “due malevolent behavior on the part of some in society; this page has been modified. It is too bad that there are those in society who can and do take the time to be jerks; knowingly and willingly to be jerks! … To anyone that was hurt I sincerely apologize."
