Fox News went dark to protest Twitter allowing that group to post the home addresses of Tucker Carlson and others. Guessing those other outlets are doing something similar. That's what they say. Carlson lied about most of that anyway. |

I don't know what you're talking about. I'm not on twitter. I didn't know that you took a break and wasn't looking for a gotcha. I like how you usually post, partly bc when it come s to other journalists you seem to take the high road, or maybe it's just that when you go after someone, I often agree. I don't know why but this struck me as petty. That's all. Fair enough. Thanks for your reasoned response. It was pretty heartening to watch this play out as it did. |

He was in France, the day the ceremony took place at Arlington. There was never any plan for him to visit Arlington on Tuesday, 11/12. |

Monday was 11/12. It is the official observed holiday (because it's a Monday). There were Veterans Day events all over America, including one at our national cemetery for military men and women. He chose not to attend.

He chose not to attend. The military celebrates Veteran’s Day on, wait for it... Veteran’s Day. The tweet NC posted from the French Embassy was posted on Tuesday, referencing an event the day before. I suppose he could have done all manner of things on Tuesday, but there was no event he “skipped” or “cancelled” going to. The WH press has his schedule, so for any of them to act like they were shocked that he didn’t attend and event he wasn’t scheduled to attend is disingenuous. |
