Basically the daily Trump thread.
There was a good conversation on the Slate podcast this week about who would emerge as the Democratic candidate in 2020. The usual suspects came up: Warren, Booker, Harris, Sanders, Biden. Then some dark horses like Hickenlooper. And some intriguing insurgents like Bloomberg and Schultz.
I like Bloomberg, and they noted that his strength would be that you would combat Trump's daily chaos with a very serious guy and an antidote. Problem is that the Lena Dunham wing, which dominates the party, these days, ain't goin' for Michael freaking Bloomberg. No way, no how.

I assume a lot of these guys would be the old union toughs in Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, etc., who still self-identify as Democrats but, you know, come on. Right?

The 2020 Dem candidate will be the one who incorporates "cis" language into the daily doings.

Always these weird outliers in political polls. There is a small percentage of people who identify with a particular party or ideology that hold attitudes completely contradictory to those ideologies or party stances.

During the Iowa Caucus in 2016, they were showing Bernie Sanders supporters campaigning on a college campus. This very passionate Sanders campaigner kept going on and on about how Sanders favors a flat tax.

The American electorate has lost it’s damn fool mind.
I see no reason to pay attention to any of this shit until there’s proof that at least some sanity has been restored.

If someone would pay me, I would spend the rest of my life studying the fact that sentient human beings, and lots of them, actually believed all along apparently that Donald Trump was anything more than a cartoon character. I know YankeeFan frustrates posters because he plays devil's advocate about Trump, but I think that YF realizes that Trump is an idiot. He's just a useful idiot. But there are millions and millions and millions of deplorables who genuinely believe this guy is an alpha male savior bad ass business mogul.

Came via mobile, thus autocorrect ... that's a thing I'm learning to just blow off.

I was trying to tie the misspelled word as an example of the electorate losing its damn fool mind.
