One rhetorical sleight of hand the #BelieveSurvivors crowd employs is to conflate withholding judgment using words like "allegedly" and "reportedly" with not believing. (Granted, I don't believe Smollett.) This is exactly what has happened. |

It's getting more publicity than any murder in Chicago. Seems like this is what gets conservatives and liberals to care about Chicago.

or that attackers are muslim or Israelites.
If you liberal you don't really care about well being of Smollet but you are hoping that attackers are caught on
