It's not exactly an act, but I think he sees this as little more than a taffy pull. He's just not going to give "the libs" the satisfaction of a straight answer. Tony can keep spewing his crazy brand of conservative thought, he can ignore it while agreeing with most of it, because to admit you care about anything means you’re a loser. As long as there is a false equivalency to be made, nothing matters. Is Tony agreeing with POTUS’ racism? Who cares, DD was rude to doc, so it doesn’t matter! You don’t have to address the substance of *any* argument, even as a moral exercise. You just get to say “Aha! Gotcha! Both sides ruin politics.” |
