My wife loves mostly shitty ‘80s songs, so when she started playing Walk The Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance” all the time, I assumed it was from the ‘80s and was wondering how I missed it all this time. Then I looked it up and saw it only came out 10 years ago. This sounds like it was pulled straight from The Breakfast Club soundtrack: good song, reminds me of Just Can't Get Enough, always turn the volume up when either comes on

I can’t wait until this woman’s however many minutes are over with, at this point. That feels like the weirdest phrasing to apply to a person like her. Like I get what you mean, the sort of central-ness of her in the culture. But obviously at a certain point, someone transcends their 15 or 30 or whatever minutes.

She’s in the pop culture pantheon now. She’s not Snookie. I’vecjust got Taylor fatigue.

I know nothing about Taylor Swift, but was curious when I saw that four of her last five albums are re-releases.
Turns out her old label was holding her master recordings hostage and trying to extort her, so she just re-recorded everything under her own ownership. And, from what I can tell, the entire music industry followed her lead and will only play/use/sample her re-recorded tracks, in essence blacklisting her old label.
Pretty impressive.

Definite power move there.

Well, they say she purchased double the carbon offsets for her 2023 polluting. So I guess 4,400 trees are in the ground?

How was she specifically mean to Trump? I can’t recall. Was it simply endorsing Biden?

The whole "Taylor Swift is problematic" thing is an old meme, making fun of liberals, who were constantly upset that she did not speak out on social issues.
I'm sorry none of you remember this.
