Yeah, I’ve been stuck on 175 since June.
But I’ve been building more muscle, too, so I look much leaner even though I weigh the same.

Today was 14 miles, my last medium-long weekday run. I'm in the taper phase right now - 74 miles this week, 57 next week, then marathon week.
The weekday medium long runs are the worst part of training. Take up a ton of time in the morning, mostly in the dark, and not fun like speedwork.
Good riddance.

Did 6.5 miles yesterday after lifting for a half-hour.
It’s amazing how much it affects me when I don’t work out for even a week. I was cramping up after Mile 2, and I had a hard time handling the weights I’ve been lifting for months.

Another 7 days in the book: 105.4 miles.
After 31 weeks: 1,124.4 miles.
Still unable to dip below 243 pounds, where I am right now.
It's a loss of 62 pounds since the start of this and short of starvation I think this is where the body is settling.

In the middle of two workouts, just walked 8 miles, and plan to ride 12 miles on the bike in about an hour.

Went out with a Navy friend this morning in the rain and hauled ass. Did 8 miles in just less than an hour.

I suppose I was harsh. Lot on my mind. Gretta, my pitcher, is going to die in the next week or two. Xan, man, I know how much coaching that team means to you. Hang in there buddy. Very sad. Well, just sucks. You have support here, of course. Feel free to update, vent, whatever. Maybe it will help you. Hang in there... VB

Less than two more weeks until marathon day.
I had two hard workouts this weekend. On Saturday, I ran 10 miles, with five of them in a row run at about a 6:40 pace.
Then I came back the next day - yesterday - and ran 17 miles, trying to maintain marathon pace (7:14) or better as long as I could. Here are my splits:
1 - 7:07 2 - 7:05 3 - 7:01 4 - 7:02 5 - 7:02 6 - 7:09 7 - 7:05 8 - 7:08 9 - 7:07 10 - 7:28 11 - 7:23 12 - 7:35 13 - 7:30 14 - 8:43 15 - 8:58 16 - 9:26 17 - 9:58
The overall pace did not slip below my 7:14 race goal until 13.25 miles.
This morning I weighed in at 153.6 and my waist ducked under 32 inches, two very welcome developments.

Boston Marathon cutoff for 2019 admission is 4 minutes, 52 seconds below the listed qualification standard for all age groups.
In response, they just toughened the 2020 standards across the board by five minutes.
I have to run a sub-3:10 on October 7 to be an official qualifier now, rather than 3:17.

I'm taking my first day off of running in approximately 60 days today.
