Alright I'm not getting dragged into this shit on the Epstein thread. He is a serial sexual assaulter and you simply do not fucking care. You had some clearly identifiable principles in your politics before the 2016 election. But, when you say that the reactions would be different, depending on who is exposed, you're joking. We have a litany of evidence, catalogued on this board, of you defending President Trump as he's been credibly accused by more than a dozen women of sexual assault. Just last week you were sharing screenshots of Jean Carroll's Facebook page saying "Whom among us doesn't love her rapists TV show?" Now let's go see if we can find any examples of me defending Bill Clinton on any similar issues. I'll wait. Tell Moddy and Ragu you just need the search function to work again for like an hour. Except as you and other TDS sufferers have told us, a non-attack = support. So if you weren't actively attacking Clinton for 8 years, you supported him and the baggage. |

I was under the impression Stormy's reveal about Trump's junk was quite widely known, but perhaps just on the cesspool that is Twitter, where it was a frightening meme for a few days after her memoir came out and he called her a "horseface" in response. For all the buzz, the most likely scenario is Epstein has no one to flip on, no evidence that will help bring down a larger group of people, and he will die in prison while Alan Dershowitz continues to write sad letters to the Pulitzer Board begging that the Miami Herald not be honored in the Public Service category. |

It's great to point to 18 accusations, but if you don't have even one that survives the most minimal scrutiny, what are they worth. You're not willing to tell me which one you find the most credible, and why? That's some bullshit, and it's a tactic designed to destroy people, without having to provide any evidence. The whole, "end of conversation" way of arguing a topic is ridiculous. It's exactly what happened to Kavanaugh -- who never met, or was in the same room as his accuser. Guy who beats drum for believing women in every context, on every thread, makes singular exception for the 18 women accusing his hero. Takes credible allegations, characterizes them as not credible, and wants someone else to prove it to him after he has dismissed every single word written or said about it to this point. Tells me it's "silly" and "some bullshit" when I disengage. Nah. Fuck that. It's all there, but at this point you could have pictures of the events and you wouldn't believe. I've been thinking this for a while, but this has crystallized it: Our political discussion on this board is stupid. I don't learn anything. All we get are alt-right-adjacent tweets and commentary that distort what actually happened, as well as re-litigation of events from the early '90s. I can't tell you how many times in the past few months I've read about something here, gone to read about it elsewhere to follow up, and realized that the discussion we're having is not ***AT ALL*** what actually happened. It was completely the other way around on the old board between say 2012 and 2016. That was a great link source within the discussion. This is just YankeeFan trying to skew everything and all of us falling in behind it. If someone came and took stock of this board's politics in the main, it would look mostly like an AstroTurfing effort from the Trump campaign. It's crazy. It's disappointing. Everyone likes the freedom of this board. But I gain no information or enlightenment when it comes to politics. Maybe the sports threads will start to get more action. |
