Unanimous ruling, with Kavs writing. The Conservative Justices are really playing the long game here. In a unanimous ruling, the court sided with the Biden administration and the manufacturer of mifepristone and reversed a lower court decision that would have made it more difficult to obtain the drug used in more than 60 percent of U.S. abortions. The ruling was not on the substance of the case, but on a procedural ruling that the plaintiffs did not have legal grounds to bring the case.
Writing for the court, Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh said the antiabortion doctors who brought the challenge do not prescribe or use mifepristone, and the FDA’s relaxed regulation of the medication does not require those doctors to do or refrain from doing anything. To be fair, it was not clear who "they" were, but frustration was expressed that "you don't believe me" when I asked who "they" were. Would have to think Kavs and Alito would either be a part of "they" or at least would be the enforcement mechanism for "they". Poor Alito. He's going to be sleeping on the couch tonight.

Been meaning to post for a week but: have to admire Macron as one the rare courageous politicians out there.

Obama’s MIL died two weeks ago.
He was in Chicago this week.
But, here’s what’s odd to me:
If you can find a picture of Barack and Michelle together, since her death, or any news about a funeral, memorial service or burial having taken place, I won’t post for a week.

Dems can say crazy shit, like expressing concerns that Guam will capsize, and it never gets the kind of attention it would if some Republican member of a state legislature said something dumb.

We have to keep Trump out of office because he might prosecute his political enemies.

Waiting for the woman to step forward and corroborate this story. Also, we know it's bullshit because she would have been bounced out of the party immediately if they knew she prayed.

They haven’t connected one person.
Between this and the EV charging fiasco, this administration is failing at the basics.
This should be a scandal.
And, if they’d work with Elon Musk, instead of investigating him, he could probably solve both problems for a lot less money.

I’m not sure they know what diversity means.

I’m not sure they know what diversity means. I see not one mention of “diversity” in that article or those “tweets.”

Since Johnson took office last year, he's intentionally tapped leaders into his cabinet to reflect Chicgo's diversity. Oh, duh. Anyway, his cabinet is 44 percent black. Is that bad? Not necessarily. The city is about 28% Black, so they are over represented, but the Democratic Party would skew more Black, as would his particular power base. And, other administrations were over populated by whites I would imagine. So, no biggie. But, the picture seems a little tone deaf, especially if "diversity" is the message you are promoting. I don't know for sure, but I'd guess those are his top aides. Not all cabinet jobs are equal, obviously, so that metric doesn't tell the whole story.

It's 100 percent Democrat. That's bad. Quite an adventure taking the kids to the Cubs game and back. No idea how anyone can live in that city anymore. I used to live near the Jeff Park transit station. We had to spend an hour there waiting for thr Metra after the game. Very shithole-esque these days. Dirty, smelly, random homeless folks on the street. And that's one of the nicer sides of town.
