LOL that's a pretty good point. I wonder how many of his most fervent supporters would actually lend him money? Here’s something a lot of people don’t realize about the 2016 campaign: Those Trump yard signs? They weren’t given out for free by the campaign. They cost something like $20 or $25. And the big 5’ by 8’ signs? They cost $500 each. Think about how many you saw. That’s people who probably not only voted, but they were buying in to the message. So to rephrase the question: could a gofundme account dedicated to actually building the wall be set up and used, or is there some kind of extra-constructional barrier to this? Good point rustin, will set aside the malfeasance argument for now. |

I would imagine that runs afoul of several government ethics rules.
But no more so than a few dozen other things that have happened in the last two years.
