All this time, I thought the consensus was that not being able to make fun of Muhammad was viewed as a negative aspect of Islam, particularly among the American right. I was way off! Muhammad was a war mongering, murderous pedophile. He is no Prophet. The god he describes is not the God of Abraham. The belief system he founded is not a tolerant religion, but is an all encompassing ideology that calls for the death of those who do not believe. That said, mocking him, or any religious figure should be tolerated by law, and by society. But, it's rare that we honor those who mock religious figures -- especially for anything beyond pushing for the right to mock them.

"Demisexual" just sounds like most women I ever encountered. Sounds like a very old fashioned, bigoted way of thinking. Demisexuals deserve our love and understanding, just as any other oppressed LBTQ+ person does. 28-year-old Elle Rose says she didn't come to terms with her demisexuality "for a really long time"For instance, many still dismiss demisexuality, insisting it’s ‘normal’ not to be sexually attracted to someone until you form a deeper, emotional connection with them. “Someone might tell you, ‘Isn’t everyone like that?’”
So, says Kaszyca, “you have to start myth-busting”. ... Elle Rose, a 28-year-old based in Indiana, US, began identifying as demisexual after describing their sexuality to a friend a few years ago. “She looked at me and was like, ‘Elle, you’re describing demisexuality’,” says Rose. “I still didn't come to terms with it for a really long time.” Fearing the complications to their dating life if they were openly demisexual, Rose often described themselves as ‘pansexual’, leaving out the demisexual identity.www.bbc.com/worklife/article/20211101-why-demisexuality-is-as-real-as-any-sexual-orientation

I like that there's a term for people who don't need a "specific label". Pomosexual
Pomosexuality is the name given to the active rejection of traditional sexual and gender labels, and a belief that no single label or definition can adequately capture the true complexity of an individual's identity. Rooted in the post modernist movement's rejection of the idea of universal narratives and strict boundaries. Often compared to other terms rooted in rejection of boundaries, such as queer and exgender (x-gender).
A pomosexual person may or may not feel sexual attraction, but is not interested in specifying whether they feel it, and to whom. They do not want or need a specific label. Pomosexual can be a sexuality by itself, but can also be used as an umbrella term.

You'd think they'd hold these meetings prior to rolling out the promotional displays.
Some southern Target stores were forced by the corporation to move LGBTQ Pride merchandise away from the front of their locations after customer "outrage" to avoid a "Bud Light situation."
Many Target locations across the country feature massive June Pride month displays on an annual basis, with items this year ranging from "tuck friendly" bathing suits for transgender people to mugs that say "gender fluid." But the retail juggernaut has been criticized by some conservatives for the displays, with children’s items particularly irking many customers.
A Target insider told Fox News Digital that many locations, mostly in rural areas of the south, have relocated Pride sections to avoid the kind of backlash Bud Light has received in recent weeks after using a transgender influencer in a promotional campaign.
A Target insider said there were "emergency" calls on Friday and some managers and district senior directors were told to tamp down the Pride sections immediately.
"We were given 36 hours, told to take all of our Pride stuff, the entire section, and move it into a section that’s a third the size. From the front of the store to the back of the store, you can’t have anything on mannequins and no large signage," the Target insider said.
"We call our customers ‘guests,’ there is outrage on their part. This year it is just exponentially more than any other year," the Target insider continued. "I think given the current situation with Bud Light, the company is terrified of a Bud Light situation."
The insider, who has worked at the retailer for almost two decades, said Target rarely makes such hasty decisions. They said Friday’s call began with roughly 10 minutes on "how to deal with team member safety" because of the amount of backlash the Pride merchandise has generated, noting that Target Asset Protect & Corporate Security teams were present on the call.
"The call was super quick, it was 15 minutes. The first 10 minutes was about how to keep your team safe and not having to advocate for Target. The last five was, ‘Move this to the back, take down the mannequins and remove the signage,’" the insider said, noting that bathing suits have replaced Pride merchandise in front-of-store displays despite Pride month not even starting until June 1.
"It’s all under the guise of trying to increase swim sales," the insider said. "Everyone was like, ‘Thank God,’ because we’re all on the front lines dealing with it."

Reminder that it's just about protecting kids from mutilation.

Congratulations on this latest big victory. I don't care how many Satanists Target partners with, this family will never boycott Target. Target has contracted with Abprallen — a clothing brand that sells Satanist merchandise, some of which glorifies violence — to create products for its “PRIDE” collection.
While Target does not sell Abprallen’s Satanist-inspired products, the retail giant approached Abprallen less than a year ago to design pride-related merchandise, according to the brand’s social-media post.
At one point Target sold three Abprallen items: a messenger bag saying “We Belong Everywhere” across trans-flag colors and planets, a tote bag with the message “Too Queer for Here” beneath a UFO, and a “Cure Transphobia, Not Trans People” sweatshirt. Only the sweatshirt remains for sale. It’s unclear why the other two items no longer appear on the Target website.
“I imagined what it would be like for a younger version of myself to see something more specific, more tailor made than a lacklustre rainbow flag. I wanted to create a range that would embrace younger me and tell him that who he is is more than OK, that being trans is special and wonderful and that the closet is not made for him to thrive in,” reads an Abprallen Instagram post announcing the collaboration with Target. Abprallen’s owner is a self-described “gay trans man” based in London.
The brand sells shirts, pins, and stickers with the design of a pastel goat head and the message “Satan Respects Pronouns.”www.nationalreview.com/news/target-partners-with-satanist-brand-to-create-items-for-pride-collection/

These are not serious arguments. Liberals don’t want to defend these things. Just like they don’t want to defend abortion. So they just accuse you of a civil rights violation if you think that a book that teaches kids about eating poop for sexual gratification might not be appropriate for middle school kids. They are not serious people, as the evidence shows.

Tough week for Target. Target on Wednesday reported another quarterly profit decline and issued a cautious sales and profit outlook for the current period.
The Minneapolis company is dealing with rising costs, which includes rising theft as a big factor, and consumers who have become more cautious about spending. ... Target said theft is cutting into its bottom line and it expects related losses could be $500 million more than last year, when losses from theft were estimated to be anywhere from $700 million to $800 million. So that means losses could top $1.2 billion this year. The company said it’s seeing an increasing number of violent incidents at stores as well, but does not want to close stores and is expanding security and locking up some items.apnews.com/article/target-first-quarter-earnings-inflation-shoplifting-873e04baadf731badbb4a70a9ebaad12

You would not have enjoyed Dark Lord Day. The music would have been my biggest issue with Dark Lord Day. My boss won't drink Three Floyds due to all the Satanic imagery. Obviously, it's all kind of tongue in cheek and intended as a tribute to heavy metal music than it is to Satanism itself. But Zombie Dust is 6.66 ABV, for instance, and that kind of stuff definitely has its detractors.

Let’s assume this teacher is wrong. That his argument is wrong. But isn’t his larger point correct? Liberals love to reach a conclusion, refuse to argue how or why they reached the conclusion, and then want the rest of us to accept their conclusion as settled science. A perfect example of this is our friend oop ’s conclusion of bad gender dysphoria is not a mental disorder. He’s absolutely sure if this, and would take issue with anyone who said it was. But he absolutely can not tell us how he reached this conclusion. He can’t site even an article in the news or a study he read to explain what shapes his reasoning. He knows what it isn’t, but can’t tell us what it is. And if you ask him to explain, you’re a bigot. I see you are constructing yet another argument with building blocks of bullshit. You have shifted the discussion from being transgender to gender dysphoria and now to "bad" gender dysphoria, whatever that is. Despite your lies to the contrary, you clearly do believe that all transgender people suffer from a mental illness. Own that and maybe we can have an honest discussion. I doubt it because honesty really isn't your thing, but your take in this area is particularly distasteful. Given that you admit that you don't know enough about it yet you have drawn that conclusion, yes, I do believe your opinion is driven by bigotry. I'm not talking about everybody. I'm talking about you.
