Should have stuck to the Vista Bahn gondola at Vail with all of the college kids smoking weed. With some cool alternative rock station blaring. The guy must have been a decent skier
or he would not even have been able to get to Blue Sky Basin. You can't get there by lift. You have to ski to it.
I skied there hundreds of times when in college. Season passes for students were ridiculously cheap. I think they were $200 for freshmen and $400 after that. I don't even want to know what a one-day lift ticket costs there now. It would not surprise me if it's close to $100.

I am usually able to use my friend’s “friend pass” for a day or two when I go. You get several of those with an Epic/season pass.

Alternative rock music always sound better at a ski area for some reason.

I haven't skied since I broke my back in 2002, but Vail is amazing. Arapahoe Basin is the best ski place in Colorado, but you can't really ski there as a beginner, probably not intermediate either, at least not when I lived there and granted that was 20 years ago... Smaller crowds and no kids. It was a dream place to ski on days when you know Vail would be packed.

the back bowls of Vail over anything else.

The lack of crowds was always the best part of A-Basin. Not sure if the secret has gotten out.
