So this is terrifying, and it starting in secretive China doesn’t help. 36 million people locked down across 13 cities. No use of public transportation allowed in those cities. They’re building new hospitals in a matter of days because they don’t have enough room. Official death toll is 26, but I’m guessing the real number is probably in the thousands. www.google.com/amp/s/amp.usatoday.com/amp/4562257002

This is driving my wife crazy. She hates the stereotype of Asian people eating so many weird foods, and now it appears to be that very practice causing a potentially worldwide health crisis. The belief is that it's from people eating either bats, rats or snakes. The source is likely a market that sells more than 50 animals. www.theguardian.com/science/2020/jan/23/animal-trade-in-spotlight-as-china-seeks-source-of-coronavirusMedia reports suggest that about 50 wild animals, including endangered pangolins, were on sale at the market in Wuhan before it was closed at the end of last year. Photographs taken before its closure show snakes, porcupines and foxes crammed into cages. The sister of a vendor infected by the virus told China Business Journal, a state-owned paper, that snakes, ducks and wild rabbits were common at the market.

John Spartan ate a ratburger, and he was fine. He even had a Taco Bell meal a day or two before that.

Porcupines are real? I thought they were just from cartoons.

The problem with these Chinese viruses is that 30 minutes later you want another one.
