They really think this is a winning line.
I think it just pisses more people off.

$312,000 average household income?
So we're paying off physicians' medical school debts?

My man hasn't been working in "public service". He's an overeducated Democratic Party operative, who lives in one of America's most expensive cities, and self describes as a "food, wine, and travel enthusiast". And his debt will be paid off by tradesman, working overtime, to fund their own children's education. www.americanprogress.org/people/seeberger-colin/ "https://www.linkedin.com/in/colin-s-91411719/"

Bet he sneers at those who had to settle for the likes of Texas A&M because they took all those "You gotta pay it back!" warnings seriously.

How many left wing political operatives just had their debts paid off because their work was considered “public service”?

LOL. Great day to announce this.
The Art Institutes was a for profit school, that was exposed as a scam long ago.

Many of these people were actually defrauded, though.
Typical students got what they paid for . . . and are getting loan relief anyway.

Maybe so, but loans should have never been approved for a garbage collection of schools like this. The whole idea of providing loans that have little chance of being paid off needs to be reexamined. But the push is for more kids to go to college, many of whom won't ever even complete a degree, and others will get degrees that are mostly useless in today's job market.

A lot of folks who never got to spend New Year's in Bali will also never have Joe Biden give them $80,000. But Liz, who could have paid back her loans, had she not given up her job to become a political commentator just got paid. When Ms. Cronise finally picked up the phone, she started the conversation with: “You had your chance with me, buster.”
Yet things quickly returned to the way they had been on those nights in the bar. “He is so funny and charming, and I ended up staying on the phone for hours,” she said. In October, she agreed to fly to Seattle to visit. They spoke about past relationships and their plans while hiking in Discovery Park. Several candle-lit evenings later, she flew back to New York. Not long afterward, they decided to spend New Year’s in Bali.www.nytimes.com/2010/01/03/fashion/weddings/03VOWS.html"https://www.linkedin.com/in/elizabeth-cronise-mclaughlin-92989436/" http://instagram.com/p/C5q1czLx9zI

I don't understand why anyone other than an education-hater wouldn't be taken in by this heartwarming story.
