I watched the Gaffigan set on Amazon. Pretty good. Being on the road quite a bit these days, some his jokes in that vein cracked me up. I love Gaffigan... We took the kids to see him last year. I don't think his latest special was one of his best, but with him, that's a high bar and it was still very, very funny... Yes, it was good, not great. I think Gaffigan and Regan are two of the best right now. I haven't seen Chappelle in a long time.

Outside of Chapelle I am pretty unfamiliar with most comics as my wife is not really a fan of stand up. I saw that Bill Burr Philly clip on Reddit and shit myself laughing. Excited to check out the Netflix special, clip up thread had me laughing.

It’s unclear to me whether this even aspires to be funny.

It’s unclear to me whether this even aspires to be funny. I've never found anything about her appealing or funny. The one thing I will say is she had some amazing comics on her show back in the day, which allowed some of them to become pretty successful touring acts... Jo Koy, Sarah Tiana, Ron Funches, Moshe Kasher... Koy is probably the biggest star of the group. Kevin Hart was on her show a lot, but I think he was already pretty well-known at the time.

I'd like to watch a documentary in which Chelsea Handler explores particle physics or string theory. It could be an entire series in which she explores topics for which she lacks the native intelligence and capacity for disciplined reasoning. Would be pretty funny.

I was too busy contemplating Chelsea Handler’s possible exploration of the A theory and B theory of time.

Chelsea Handler explores the pros and cons of metal, ceramic and plastic in artificial hips.

LOL. The guy SNL hired, and then fired, for making racist jokes, was their attempt to hire a conservative comedian.
Too bad we had to cancel him conservatives.

Seinfeld sat in on Mets announcing booth for an inning or two a couple months back and identified this guy (on Fallon last night) as one of best up-and-coming comedians.

Normand is good. Different. Sharp. Off-kilter style and delivery. Funny.
He was in a few episodes of Horace and Pete.
