But a whole lot of other people, a little bird told me, thought that "buy the dips" was preposterous advice. So I guess they thought they could "time the markets," as well, seeing since those finance experts thought YF's strategy was so mockable. It went on for days.

Is 'buy the dips' different from 'buy low, sell high'? It doesn't seem like groundbreaking strategy.
I do not pretend in the least to be good at the stock market or finance.
