Donald Trump is corrupt!? Holy shit, oop, thanks for letting me know. That isn't news, but the current legal issues are absolutely news. Once I dragged YF kicking and screaming into the discussion, he even started trying to mount a defense. He isn't just corrupt. Look at what is actually in this indictment. I'm not sure corrupt covers it.

The choice in November will be between two criminals.
One indicted but likely acquitted because of jury nullification and the other unindicted.
There is zero pride and zero good conscience in pulling either lever.

My conscience will be perfectly clear.

There's no way these go to trial before the election, right? Tens of millions of people are going to vote for a guy indicted in at least four separate cases. That Comey letter is looking mighty silly today.

YankeeFan , have you? You've been ducking the topic of his legal troubles for months. You are more interested in politics than I am, but being the coward that you are, you've chosen to run away from discussing the legal troubles of the former president and frontrunner for the Republican nomination in 2024. Instead of playing your nonsense games, try offering a real response. A. There's no shortage of people taking about Trump's legal problems, or places to discuss them. Nothing bores me more than talking about the same thing everyone else is. B. His legal troubles are real. Republicans should move on from Trump, and chose another nominee. Trump is not my preferred choice to be the nominee. C. Today's indictment is taking a lot of criticism, and it probably unhelpful in a number of ways. Seriously, what is this criticism of the indictment? Why are you avoiding providing support for that assertion?

Seriously, what is this criticism of the indictment? Why are you avoiding providing support for that assertion? Do you follow the news? Bingo! (See folks. That's how that works.) Mocking you aside, that answer simply isn't good enough. You made the claim. It is on you to back it up or admit you can't. I'm asking you to present what it is you are talking about. If you refuse to do either, you're once again proving yourself to be lying coward.

It’s not like I saw one article criticizing the indictment. If you’re unaware of the issue, then you literally aren’t following the news, and it’s not worth discussing with you.

I have a feeling one’s “knowledge” of the indictment varies wildly depending on what “news” one “follows.”

I have a feeling one’s “knowledge” of the indictment varies wildly depending on what “news” one “follows.” I mean, ok. But I take in a broad range of news. And the criticism of this indictment is pretty straightforward, and it’s not coming just from lunatics.

I don’t see much non-lunatic criticism aside from the notion that it’ll be pretty hard to PROVE some of things in the indictment.

I mean, if I’m honest, I don’t care what the “criticism” is.
We all know what he did. That he may have muddied the waters enough with bullshit to save his own ass is beside the point.

I do love the argument that Trump didn't commit a crime because he sincerely believed he won the election. "Your honor, my client is so far detached from reality that it is actually legal for him to attempt coups."
