What are people angry about? Mostly inflation, right? If everything costs quite a bit more and people aren't making quite a bit more would they usually be happy with that?

Can someone take off their partisan glasses for a moment and try to explain to me how this is happening? I think it because a lot of people who were fine with "Vote for me because I'm not the other guy" want more than the same message after 4 years. At some point, results matter. You can get elected with nothing substantive to show voters (it's happened with the past three presidents), but it's much harder to get re-elected without some bona files. Biden doesn't really have anything of substance he can point to. Trump, for all his bombast and silliness, was a better president by the major metrics voters tend to care about: the economy, the border, foreign policy, crime.

MSNBC host points out a basic fact, gets called a "Trump apologist" by Nancy Pelosi.

Her office, in the first months of President Obama's first term, put a thing out that kinda looked like the front of a bikini bottom, showing "net jobs" change or some such thing over time. On the right side we still saw negative numbers, but they were getting smaller in absolute value (i.e., they were going from minus-300,000 to minus-200,00 to minus-100,000, that kind of thing). Her office spun that as things "improving." When I noted, on some Facebook post showing that, that it was possibly a misleading graph (because the employment base was going down, smaller absolute reductions might actually have been larger relative reductions), why, you'd have thought I'd have taken a dog out into a gravel pit and put it down with a shotgun!

I still SMH at the badgering of the Trump economy in 2020, when his opponents insisted every damn thing be closed.
As I said at the OWH, it's like arguing with Comrade Dyatlov. "Close the businesses!" ("Raise the power!") BOOM! (Dow plummets/Core explodes) "What did you DO?"

And on top of it, Biden loves to take credit for "creating 15 million jobs" when almost all of those are just people who had their business closed and returned to work.

Can someone take off their partisan glasses for a moment and try to explain to me how this is happening? People are tired of hearing the Democrats and the media telling them to not believe what they see with their own eyes.

White, college Nazis, denigrating and assaulting African-American cops in North Carolina is going to be bad for Joe's ability to attract the African-American vote at the rate and percentages necessary for him to carry swing states. But he can't speak out without running off the "youth" and pro Hamas vote within the Democratic Party.
