As with the case of the Houston Rockets GM, I support this call to stand with freedom fighters everywhere, and know the rest of the board will as well. I'll defend the guy. He was spouting off at the mouth on Twitter. Who cares? This guy is a nobody if MLB just quietly ignores it. That said, MLB, as his employer, has a right to decide if what he said will negatively affect its brand and handle it as they see fit (within collectively bargained constraints, of course). But, really, who gives a fuck what this ump has to say? Does anyone really think he's going to take up arms against the country during the Winter Meetings? Leave it alone and it'll be over ... well, it's probably already over. Do we need to get outraged at every nitwit who can't spell spouting off on Twitter (U.S. President excepted)? It’s the internet. Someone saw it at some point it would get traction. Major league umpires threatening to buy guns to kill Americans always does. |

Cival War? He sure is a Trumper. What we have here, is a failure to communicate. Use Your Illusion-jack incoming! I still use an old iPod in my car, and "My World" (the one where Axl sort of raps - "You wanna step into my world/It's a sociopsychotic state of bliss") came up on shuffle. I love those albums, but I don't know that I can think of a single song from that era that's aged more poorly from a musical standpoint. It's pure cringe. |
