Maybe it’s not factual, but it’s important.

Lots of outlets plowing ahead, with headlines treating this as fact. You are responding to an imaginary tweet.

What's the deal with ski masks? Has anyone besides bank robbers and other assorted criminals ever worn them?

There would have been very few people out on the streets last night.
A couple of guys walking around in ski masks would have drawn the attention of the cops, who are all over this area, right off of Michigan Ave.

If anyone knows the truth, it is certainly “my tweet portal is whack.” That was Browkaw’s initial attempt to apologize the other day. The handle is temporary, and meant to mock Brokaw. He’s a reporter — for a right wing publication —who is famous for having been a litigant in a famous SCOTUS case. He's THAT Griswold? Wow.

Seems fishy to me. Maybe if the assailants had shouted 'We're doing this because we've been emboldened by the hateful rhetoric of the Trump White House!' I'd believe it. I hope this guy is alright but this story needs some skepticism.

Between this and the #NoCode knee-slapper, conservatives are really on a humor role this week.

I had it in my head that it was a recent eminent domain case.
I denounce myself for not realizing it was a joke.
