Not often you get to sign a quarterback and have another team pay almost his entire huge salary. From a business standpoint, it's a smart move for a team that doesn't like spending money at the position.

Well, this is not great news here in Bears Land. There is no market for Fields. They may have to release him and get nothing.

Why not good news for Bears' fans?
They have Cousins out of their division and only need to play the Falcons when the schedule rotation demands. A weakening for a division opponent is usually considered good news.

A weakening for a division opponent is usually considered good news. Because of the aforementioned lack of a market for Fields. Overall, yes, Cousins bolting is a good thing. The Bears lack draft picks, so getting a decent return for Fields would have been helpful.

A weakening for a division opponent is usually considered good news. Atlanta seemed like the sole potential suitor for Justin Fields. At least the lack of a trade market for Fields probably indicates that the Bears are about to do the right thing and draft a quarterback.

There's a "report" that the Bears are not shopping Fields and will not decide to do so until the visit with Caleb Williams. This is Poles coveting his ass after realizing there is no market for him masquerading as news.🙄

Sounds like the Bears are doing their best Sixers impression.

Yeah, but then they have to draft another quarterback. I will no longer watch the team if Fields is the starter. Not supporting such malpractice.

Sounds like the Bears are doing their best Sixers impression. They'll be doing their best Shittiest Franchise in the NFL impression if Fields returns as the starter.

Last year at this time, everyone hated running backs. Today they cleaned up.

What are the Chicago guys' thoughts about the Packers adding Josh Jacobs and releasing Aaron Jones?
