Shouldn't the real debate be about the dangerous practice of dead naming this woman in Newsweek?

It's only unfair to the female competitors.

Shouldn't the real debate be about the dangerous practice of dead naming this woman in Newsweek? I noticed that, because one of the links I stumbled upon was from an LGBTQ site, and one of the things they complained about was how she is being "deadnamed" in other publications.

The NCAA's policy is that you have to have been undergoing testosterone suppression therapy for a calendar year before competing. I don't know how much difference that makes. The LGBTQ advocacy site said that her times are slower now than when she was on the men's team.

Lia Thomas, who formerly didn't exist ... She was good in All The Right Moves with Tom Cruise and Craig T Nelson

I feel like CBS News may have already chosen a side in this debate that they are reporting on.

I feel like CBS News may have already chosen a side in this debate that they are reporting on. How would you headline the story/tweet? It’s interesting to think about. On the surface, the headline is neutral. But it doesn’t feel that way.

On the surface, the headline is neutral. But it doesn’t feel that way. Is there a connection between banning transgenders in athletics and the deadliest year for transgenders? CBS seems to be making that connection.

It looks like the exact same thing to me. What Boom said. At the very least, it sounds like CBS is suggesting that we shouldn't be mean to trans athletes, because some other trans women have been murdered -- usually at the hands of someone they are in a relationship with.
